Bringing Noble Prize Winner 2006 George Fitzgerald Smoot III to Hangzhou
In 2020, we assisted to bring George Fitzgerald Smoot III and his research team to setup in Hangzhou. George Fitzgerald Smoot III is an American astrophysicist and cosmologist born on February 20, 1945. He is well-known for his work in the study of the cosmic microwave background radiation, which has provided crucial evidence supporting the Big Bang theory of the universe’s origin.
George Smoot was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2006, shared with John C. Mather, for their discovery of the blackbody form and anisotropy of the cosmic microwave background radiation. Smoot has received numerous other accolades and honors throughout his career for his contributions to science.
